Connect to MGWiFi on MacOS

To connect to the MGWiFi network you will need to install a device specific security certificate.To connect to the MGWiFi network you will need to install a device specific security certificate.

To do this you will require the following:

  • The admin password to your laptop and any security software. (to allow the certificate installer)
  • A Wi-Fi connection (this can be done at home or at school)

 

Follow the instructions below or watch the video tutorial.

1. Launch a web browser (e.g. Chrome, Safari, Edge). At the end of this guide click to Continue.


2 Click to continue then select  "Sign In"

3. Sign-in with your Mentone Grammar account


4. After signing in, select Join Now.

This will automatically download and add the Wifi Profile into your settings to install.

5. Open the downloaded SecureW2.mobileconfig file from your Downloads folder

6. Go to the Apple icon (top-left) and open System Settings.

7. In the search box type Profiles and select the top option, then double-click the pending install.

8. In the pop-ups, press Install for both.

9. When prompted, enter your computer password – NOT your school password.

10. Once installed, go to Wifi and select MGWiFi – you now have school wifi setup on your device.

12. If you're ready to connect to MGWiFi, click to continue.
