Connect to MGWiFi on MacOS

To connect to the MGWiFi network you will need to install a device specific security certificate.To connect to the MGWiFi network you will need to install a device specific security certificate.

To do this you will require the following:

  • The admin password to your laptop and any security software. (to allow the certificate installer)
  • A Wi-Fi connection (this can be done at home or at school)

1. Launch a web browser (e.g. Chrome, Safari, Edge). At the end of this guide click to Continue.


2. Click the JoinNow button to download the Wi-Fi installer.

3. Double click the file in your Download menu to open it. Or go to your downloads folder.

4. Double click the Secure W2 icon to open the installer.  You may see a window asking, “Are you sure you want to open it?”, Click Open

5. Click the Next button then click the Okay button on the following pop-up

6. You will be taken to your web browser to sign in using your Mentone Grammar email account.

7. Return to the Secure W2 installer, then click Next.

8. Go to System Preferences, Select Profiles, then click Install.

9. Click the Install button on the next pop up window.

10. You will be prompted to enter your local or admin password twice.

11. You will see Joined once the profile has successfully installed. If you see the Retry button and you’re outside the school network, please ignore then click Continue to complete the configuration. If you are at school please confirm you are connected to MGWiFi Network.

12. If you're ready to connect to MGWiFi, click to continue.
